Guest Lecture on ‘Importance of Soft Skills for an Accounting undergraduate’

The third guest lecture of the guest lecture series under Management and Personal Capacity Skills Development Program was successfully held on 05th December, 2018. Mr. Isuru Gunaratne, Finance Manager – Head of Management Reporting (MAS Intimates), who is also a soft skills coach and a leadership mentor conducted this session on ‘Importance of Soft Skills for an Accounting undergraduate’, for the Second year students of the department.

This session was of great value to the students, as they undergo a two-year internship as a compulsory component of their degree program. The content of the session enlightened the students on the aspects that they need to improve, in order to step out into the corporate world as a fully-fledged undergraduate.

Also, the students were able to acquire an understanding as to how their soft skills should be further modified to present themselves as useful to the job market.
