Dayananda Ambalangodage is a Professor in Accounting at Department of Accounting, Faculty of Management Studies and Commerce, University of Sri Jayewardenepura. His expertise develops at the interface among accounting and public administration and management. His work is interdisciplinary, and draws on qualitative methods, from an interpretive and a critical perspective. He has published on public sector accounting, budgeting, performance management and accountability, reform and change processes, governmental financial resilience. He is a member of the governing board of the Techno-economic-Societal Sustainable Development Training in Sri Lanka (TESS) project, co-funded by the European Union under the auspices of Erasmus + Capacity Building in Higher Education Programme. He is also a board member of the comparative Asia Africa Government Accounting (CAAGA).

Ongoing Project

Coordinator Techno-economic-Societal Sustainable Development Training in sustainable Development in Sri Lanka (TESS)http://techcsk.com/tess/news/. With principal applicant (University of South-Eastern, Norway) and other partner universities including University of Sri Jayewardenepura succeeded-in global competition-to secure a project in capacity building in higher education.  The grant was received European Commission to improve conditions on waste management and technology in Sri Lanka under the project of Techno-economic-Societal Sustainable Development Training in sustainable Development in Sri Lanka (TESS). In addition to facilitating other work packages, University of Sri Jayewardenepura is directly responsible for designing and implementing a master programme in waste management, sustainability and circular economy.
