Annual Field Trip & Community Service Project

A two day trip was organized on 24th   and 25th of November 2015 to Badulla. Undergraduates of the Department of all three batches were given the opportunity to take part in this event. The trip was mainly organized with the aim of creating stronger bonds amongst the undergraduates of the department. The specialty of the trip is that the lecturers too joined the event, thus creating much stronger bond within the BIZCON family.

On the first day the students left the university by 4 a.m., stopped on the way to badulla to have their breakfast. Then by 11.00 a.m. the two busses reached Mihindu Vidyalaya in which community service project of Donation of three Flag Poles took place. Stationary packs were donated to students. The Principal, students and the teachers of that school were very thankful for this worthy cause. Next we visited Dova Raja Maha Viharaya and had our lunch there.

After the lunch we visited Rawana Waterfall. Then we reached the place of stay for which was called Co-operative Development Centre. We had our dinner there.

On next day after having the breakfast in early morning we left SANASA at about 8.00 a.m. to go to Nine Arc Bridge. It was nice to go through a forest and reach the bridge where the path was muddy, slippery and full of leech. Then we went to famous sacred temple Muthiyangana Raja Maha Viharaya at about 12 noon. After having lunch we reached Kalupahana. While on our way we saw beautiful waterfalls, Mountains, Tea estates, Rubber Estates. We bathed in one of the rivers and all students were enjoying. Then we left that place at about 5.00 p.m. and we had our dinner in a restaurant on our way to university. At about 12.00 p.m. the two busses and the Van reached University premises.
