Pasan Wijayawardhana emerges as the Best University Orator 2020
Mr. Pasan Wijayawardhana, a final year undergraduate of the Department of Business Economics emerged as the “Best University Orator of the Year 2020” at “Subashaka”, the inter-university oratory competition organized by the Media Unit of the Faculty of Management and Finance, University of Colombo. This contest can be recognized as the largest national-level online oratory competition held at the university level in Sri Lanka.
Initially, over 150 contestants participated in this competition and 22 of them were selected for the final round which was held on 28th May 2020. Mr. Wijayawardhana secured the first place at the final round for his oration on “Role of the University Undergraduates in Post COVID-19 Sri Lanka”.
