Pasan Wijayawardhana wins Best Paper Award at South Asian Economics Students’ Meet (SAESM) 2019

Mr. Pasan Wijayawardhana, third year undergraduate of the Department of Business Economics, Faculty of Management Studies and Commerce won the Best Paper Award under the theme of “Poverty and Food Security” at the 15th South Asian Economics Students’ Meet (SAESM) 2019. This was held from the 21st to 23rd January 2019 at Cinnamon Lakeside Hotel, Colombo. This was organized by SAESM India, SAESM Pakistan, University of Colombo together with the World Bank. SAESM can be cited as the largest students’ Economics conference in the South Asian region. Mr. Wijayawardhana is the only contestant who received an award for Sri Lanka at this contest.
