Two Business Economics Students participated in USJP Study Tour to Monash University, Australia

Mr. Asel Hettiarachchi and Ms. Nadunika Peiris, fourth year undergraduates of the Department of Business Economics visited Monash Business School, Monash University, Australia along with 24 other undergraduates of the Faculty of Management Studies and Commerce and two academic members, Dr. Wasantha Perera, Local Coordinator of the Monash Program and Dr. M. D. Pushpakumari, Senior Lecturer of the Department of Business Administration for a two-week Study Tour under the MoU signed between Monash University and University of Sri Jayewardenepura.

As a part of this study tour, Monash Business School offered Engaging International Business course unit to the students and it was carefully designed and coordinated by Professor Michaela Rankin (Dean, International) and Prof. Robert Brooks (Dean, Education) at Monash Business School. Additionally, the programme comprised of an induction program, lecture sessions, panel discussions, excursions, case study analysis with class presentation, experience sharing sessions, professional and career development sessions, industry and field visits, and networking sessions.

The aim of this study tour was to build a substantial, longstanding engagement between Sri Lanka and Australia and, in particular, to establish linkages between universities, industry and government in both countries.
