Guest Lecture-MPQ Mega Group 1

The students of Mega Group 1 – Department of Business Administration of the Faculty of Management Studies and Commerce of University of Sri Jayewardenepura organized a guest lecture under the title “Manufacturing Insights and Productivity Improvement” on Friday, the 25th of January 2019. The lecture was conducted by well-known personnel; the Supply Chain Capability Development Manager of Coca-Cola Beverages Sri Lanka Ltd. and a visiting lecturer of the University of Colombo, Mr. Manone Perera. The aim of this guest lecture was to provide a clear understanding on how to enhance the productivity of an organization beyond the traditional methods of doing the same as well as assisting the students who are reading for the course “Managing for Productivity and Quality” under Department of Business Administration. The guest lecture was open to everyone and about 200 students participated for the programme. Concepts relating to manufacturing, world-class manufacturing, PQCDSM approach and TPM were brought into light by the guest speaker before the programme was concluded successfully.
