Curriculum Review Industry Discussion: B.Sc. Marketing Management (Special) Degree

The Department of Marketing Management, University of Sri Jayewardenepura organized a Curriculum Review Industry Discussion called as “Stakeholder Consultation Session” in the process of revising the current curriculum of the B.Sc. Marketing Management (Special) Degree programme. The Department revises the curriculum in every five years time with the participation of several stakeholders including senior academics from the national university system, students, alumni association, and experts from the corporate sector; its new curriculum is targeted to launch in 2020.

The purpose of the discussion is to show case the proposed curriculum of the Degree to the corporate sector and to get the insights on their expectations from a marking graduate who pass out from the Department and to comment on the new curriculum by incorporating new trends and opportunities in the market both locally and globally. The outcome of the discussion is to introduce new course units (subjects), revise the existing course units to match the curriculum with the latest trends, new knowledge in the discipline while developing required generic and discipline-specific skills and attitude of the students. New teaching-learning mechanisms and evaluation techniques are also expected to adopt while closely collaborating with the corporate sector in order to make sure the graduates of the Department are suitable for the highly dynamic era ahead.
