Industry Forum - 2018

2^nd Industry Forum organized by the Department of Decision Sciences was held on 30^th November 2018 at the Old Board Meeting Room of the Faculty of Management Studies and Commerce. This was a fruitful forum for exchanging experience and sharing knowledge between the experts from the industry and the academia regarding the industry practices and requirements to be included in the curriculum of the degree programme. The main purpose of the event was to get invaluable insights from the industry for the expected curriculum revision of the BSc Operations and Technology Management (Special) degree programme to be implemented in 2020. At the same time, it was held in order to build collaborative relationships with the industry which would be a path for the undergraduates to find opportunities of training, factory visits, internship in sharpening their knowledge and get an understanding on the application of the theoretical knowledge in practice. This forum was organized by Ms G.M. J. Patabandige, the Lecturer (Probationary), under the guidance of the Head of the Department Mrs D.M.E. Wedage. The event was graced with the participation of the industry experts from prestigious companies of the country, academic staff, graduates and the undergraduates of the department.  The presence of following industry experts made the session a success.
