RICS Accreditation
The Estate Management and Valuation Degree Programme is a blend of academic knowledge and professional skills. Hence, affiliations with the professional institutions is of vital importance to maintain this character.
The B.Sc. Estate Management and Valuation (Special) Degree has been accredited by the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors UK (RICS) for all intakes from 1st July 2018 to 1st July 2023 in the year 2018.
IVSL Accreditation
Institute of Valuers of Sri Lanka is another professional body that students can enroll in and improve the practical experience related to land and property valuation. The B.Sc. Estate Management and Valuation (Special) Degree has also been accredited by Institute of Valuers of Sri Lanka.
Quality Assurance
The department secured an “A grade” for the degree programme at the Quality Assurance Programme Review conducted by the University Grants Commission (UGC) Sri Lanka in the year 2018.
Research Awards – 2015
The DEMV received the “Research Awards – 2015” for obtaining the highest Department h-index of the Faculty of Management Studies and Commerce in the year 2016.
Award of Grant 2013
The Quality and Innovation Grant -“Higher Education for the Twenty-First Century Project” of Ministry of Higher Education, Sri Lanka which is a competitive grant was awarded to the DEMV in 2013.
