Student Admission Policy

The allocation of students to the FMSC is made by the University Grants Commission (UGC) of Sri Lanka.

Admission of students by UGC is based on their performance at the G.C.E. (Advanced Level) Examination conducted by the Department of Examinations Sri Lanka. Students seeking entrance to the FMSC must study and sit for one of the following subject combinations at the G.C.E. (Advanced Level) Examination.

(a)   Business Studies; Economics and Accounting

or

(b)  At least two subjects from the subjects given in (a) above; and the third subject from the following;

Agricultural Science

Elements of Political Science

Geography

Information & Communication Technology

Business Statistics

English

German

Logic & Scientific Method

Combined Mathematics

French

History

Physics

Examination Policies, Regulations and by-Laws

The examination regulations provide the criteria and other conditions relating to examinations of all the degree programmes conducted by the FMSC. Any interpretations of these regulations shall be submitted to the Senate of the University and the decision of the Senate will be the final.

Plagiarism Policy 

The FMSC considers plagiarism as a serious academic offence. Students should always maintain the integrity of their academic activities and should be aware of the policies and its consequences. DEMV strongly complies with the FMSC Plagiarism Policy. All course unit assignments, project reports, independent research reports or any other materials submitted for assignments will be reviewed under this policy.

Gender Equity and Equality Policy
