To be eligible for admission, an applicant must have:

  1. B.Sc. Estate Management & Valuation (special) Degree with a First or Second-Class Upper Division Pass, obtained from a recognised university, or
  2. B.Sc. Estate Management & Valuation (special) Degree with Second-Class Lower Division pass obtained from a recognised university and one year post qualifying relevant professional experience, or
  3. B.Sc. Estate Management & Valuation (special) Degree with an Ordinary Pass obtained from a recognised university and two year post qualifying relevant professional experience, or
  4. A Bachelor’s Degree in any subject area obtained from a recognised university with at least three years post-qualifying relevant professional experience in the field of Real Estate Management and Valuation, or
  5. A recognized professional/academic qualifications with post-qualifying professional experience in an executive capacity acceptable to the Department and the Senate of the University.
  6. B.Sc. Estate Management & Valuation (special) Degree holders with an Ordinary Pass are also eligible to register for the postgraduate diploma. Successful completion of the Diploma is a qualification to register for the M.Sc. Program.
  7. A Bachelor’s Degree in any subject area obtained from a recognized university with a class is eligible to register for the postgraduate diploma. Successful completion of the Diploma is a qualification to register for the M.Sc. Program.

Recognized Professional Qualifications

  1. Member of the Royal Institution of Charted Surveyors (RICS), UK  General Practice
  2. Member of the Institute of Valuers of Sri Lanka
  3. Member of the Institute of Town Planners of Sri Lanka
  4. Diploma in Valuation from Sri Lanka Technical College, with 10 years experience in the field of Real Estate Management and valuation
  5. B.Sc. Surveying Sciences – Institute of Surveying and Mapping, Diyatalawa
  6. Diploma of Survey – Institute of Surveying and Mapping, Diyatalawa
  7. Any other qualification recognized by the Senate of the University.
