Financial Literacy Survey 2016 – Dept. of Finance
The students of the Department of Finance conducted a survey to assess the level of financial literacy among the public in Kosgala area on 15th October 2016. Nearly 180 students covered the entire area by forming four separate groups and conducted semi – structured interviews with nearly 400 people under the supervision of Prof. Hareendra Dissabandara, Mr. S.D.L. Kongahawatte, Mrs. I.G.S.M. Illubethanne and Mrs. Y.M.P.S. Abeyrathne. The villagers exhibited a noticeable interest in the study and willingly responded to the conductors of the survey. Students also actively participated in the survey and it was an exciting experience for them.
