Crafterina’ 20

Crafterina 20, a handcraft competition,  was organized by the Student Association of the Department of Human Rresource Management with the purpose of giving value to the time spent leisurely by the university undergraduates during this pandemic situation. This competition was open for undergraduates in all state universities. The registration was open from 1st of May to 5th of May 2020 and 116 applications were received, of which 106 of the applicants participated in the competition. The evaluation panel consisted of five lecturers of the Department of HRM and the winners were selected under the categories of: The best craft,1st runner-up, 2nd runner-up, the most popular craft (Facebook competition- the craft which secured the maximum number of likes was selected as the most popular craft), most ecofriendly, most creative, most commercial exposure, most cost -effective and neatest. Mobile reloads and E certificates were given to all the winners.

The winners of the competition under each category are as follows:

  1. The best craft – Malki Ishara (University of Wayamba)
  2. 1st runner-up – Fathima Hilma (University of Sri Jayewardenepura)
  3. 2nd runner-up – Chamodi Dewmini (University of Sri Jayewardenepura)
  4. The most popular craft – Nimesha Dilrukshi (University of Moratuwa)
  5. Most ecofriendly – Dinindu Pabasara (University of Rajarata)
  6. Most creative – Subodhani Mekala (University of Sabaragamuwa)
  7. Most commercial exposure – Sandali Hasara (University of Colombo)
  8. Most cost effective – Randula Pabasari (University of Sri Jayewardenepura)
  9. Most neat – Hashini Dilhara (University of Sri Jayewardenepura)
