Center for High Performance Work Practices (CHPWP)-Another Pioneering Work from the Department of HRM

December 2, 2018 @ 8:00 am - January 31, 2019 @ 5:00 pm

Center for High Performance Work Practices (CHPWP)

People are our most important asset and the human resource management (HRM) is an essential function in organizations that affects the quality of organizational performance (OP). Most of the high performance companies such as Apple, Toyota, General Electric, Singapore Airlines and Google have proved that management systems that encourage commitment and competence of people achieve greater performance. Over the past few years, much of the debate about the contribution of HRM to OP has been wrapped up around the concept of high performance work practices (HPWP).
The Center for High Performance Work Practices (CHPWP) will be a powerful mechanism for engaging students, staff and the Department across the Faculty with the University. The Center can provide a model for the society in achieving excellence toward integrating students’ academic and extracurricular activities by placing the student engagement at the heart of the center’s activities and empowering students to become institutional and community leaders in all areas of the department’s activities.

CHPWP Mission Statement
The CHPWP is a place where Department, Faculty, University and Community members work in a collaborative environment to increase student success to become HRM professionals in an intellectually diverse community.
