Inaugural Session of the 9th Intake of Applied Finance Program at the Hotel Grand Monarch
The inauguration of the 9th intake of the Applied Finance Graduate Program was held on 20th May 2016 at the hotel Grand Monarch, Thalawathugoda. The coordinator of the program, Dr. K.L.W. Perera, has invited the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Sampath Amaratunga, as the Chief Guest and senior Prof. (Dr.) H.H.D.N.P. Opatha, Department of Human Resource Management, as the Guest of Honor and Keynote Speaker of this special event. Dr. G. Tanthirigama, Dean of NSBM, Senior Prof. Prof. W.M. Abayarathne Bandara, Department of Finance, Prof. Hareendra Dissabandara, Head of the Department of Finance, Prof. Weerakoon Banda, Department of Finance, Dr. Sumudu Perera, Head of the Department of Business Economics, Mr. Marlon Gunasekara, Head of the Department of Business Administration, Dr. Duminda Kuruppuarachchi, Senior Lecturer, Department of Decision Science, Dr. Sriyalatha, Senior Lecturer, Department of Business Economics and Mr. Lalith Fernanado, Treasury Risk Manager, Bank of Ceylon, were also in the distinguished gathering. At this inauguration, Senior Prof. Prof. W.M. Abayarathne Bandara was awarded a special token to appreciate his humble and dedicated service to the Applied Finance Program as a professor of Finance. The 9th intake of Applied Finance Program will be starting on 28th May 2016.
