Inauguration Ceremony of the Diploma & Postgraduate Diploma in Marketing Management

Inauguration ceremony of the Diploma in Marketing Management (Intake XII) and Postgraduate Diploma in Marketing Management (Intake VIII) was successfully held at Prof. K.A. Munasinghe Auditorum, Faculty of Management Studies & Commerce on 01st of October 2016.

Dr. U. Anura Kumara, Dean of the Faculty of Management Studies & Commerce graced the occasion as the chief guest with the presence of Head, Department of Marketing and members of the academic staff.

The Diploma in Marketing Management was introduced in 2004 to cater individuals who have little opportunity to pursue their studies in the field of Marketing with the aim of enriching the theoretical and practical knowledge, enhancing the soft skills needed to be dynamic and novel Marketers. By now, the Department has served many individuals who struggle for knowledge, not for the qualification only. Further, we as a department try to develop professionals not only with knowledge but also with proper discipline.

Students who complete the Diploma in Marketing Management are qualified to follow the Advanced Diploma in Marketing Management and Postgraduate Diploma in Marketing Management subsequently. The Postgraduate Diploma in Marketing Management is considered an entry requirement for the MBA programme conducted by the University of Sri Jayewardenepura and some other national universities.
