AGM and Get Together 2019 – Alumni Association of Public Administration
The Department of Public Administration together with its alumni members have organized the 27th AGM and the Annual Get Together of Alumni Association of Public Administration on the 10th of November 2019 from 8.30 am onwards at Kanvil Grand Hotel, Boralesgamuwa.
As scheduled the lined up of the events commenced by the AGM, awarding of Prof. Ariyapala Ekanayake Memorial Gold Medal and Award, get together and lunch and alumni raffle draw. This year Prof. Ariyapala Ekanayake Memorial Gold Medal and Award was received by Ms. Prasadi Karunartne.
A large number of alumni members representing different generations have participated the event. Interestingly it was noticed that many recently passed out graduates have joined the event. The main sponsor of the event was Nippon Paint, and other sponsors were Mobitel Lanka and Ceymed Healthcare Services.
Newly appointed key office bearers of the Association are Dr. Pavithra Madhuwanthi as the president, Ms.Aruna Muthulingam as the secretary, Mr.Madushanka Dissanayake and Dr.Harendra Kariyawasam are the treasurer and the auditor respectively. The appointed advisors of the Association are Senior Professor Lalitha Fernando, Dr.W A Wijewardene, Dr. U B Ramanayake, Mr. W M N Weeratunga and Mr. E D Palihapitiya.
The date for the next AGM has been decided at the AGM as the 22nd of November 2020.
