Annual Field Visit – 2020
3rd-year students of the Department of Public Administration of the University of Sri Jayewardenepura conducted an academic field visit under the course PUB 3341 Public Management on 17th & 18th February 2020.
On the first day, the students conducted a survey and studied practical aspects of Human Resources Management practices and identified several issues of the Lanka Sugar Company Ltd – Sevenagala Unit. On the second day, they visited Hambanthota International Port Group (PVT) Ltd. and Mattala International Airport to observe and study their operations and to examine recent development.
Senior Prof. Lalitha Fernando and Ms. Weenavi Sulakkana coordinated this field visit. Several academic members of the Department of Public Administration and Research Assistants of the Research Center for Governance and Public Policy participated in the field visit.
