Student orientation program of the Dept of IT

The orientation program of the Department of Information Technology was held on 4th June 2019 at the faculty board room. The event was graced by the presence of academic staff of the department, alumni members, senior students and first year students. Dr. Amitha Kumara as the Head of the Department welcomed first year students to the department. Then Dr. Dushyantha Kulathunga introduced the Business Information Systems Degree program. Introductory speech to the career paths and professional qualifications was delivered by Dr. Lasith Gunawardena. Finally, interactive group discussion was held with the participation of academic staff of the department, alumni members representing the industry, senior students representing different societies in the university, the student association of the department and first year students
