Student Orientation Programme 2019
The Faculty of Management Studies & Commerce (FMSC), ceremonially welcomed their new batch of students for the academic year 2019/2020, on 02nd December 2019. Snr. Prof Sudantha Liyanage; Acting Vice-Chancellor of the university, Dr U Anura Kumara; Dean of the Faculty of Management Studies and Commerce, Deans of other faculties and Heads of Departments graced this occasion with their presence. Further, the academic staff of the faculty, senior students, new students and their parents also participated for this occasion.
This two-day orientation programme encapsulated lectures delivered by the well-experienced academics of the university on numerous topics such as study skills, student discipline and student welfare which are pertinent to students as newcomers. The field visit brought out the vivacity of the students by giving them a taste of the university culture. The orientation programme ended in an efficacious note, after enlightening the novel students about their new venture and the future that lies ahead of them.
