Undergraduate Research Day – 2018 | Dept. of PUB
The Department of Public Administration organized its Undergraduate Research Day-2018 for the 3rd consecutive year purporting to promote research culture among the undergraduates of the Department. It was held on 11th of December 2018 at the Board Room of the Faculty of Graduate Studies. Conducting a research has been a part of the curriculum of the B.Sc. Management (Public) (Special) degree programme and undergraduates enthusiastically engage in research studies on their interested areas of research. Interestingly, their research interests are not limited only to the public sector but also other timely relevant research areas as well. After peer reviewing selected papers have been presented at the Undergraduate Research Day. All those papers were published in the Undergraduate Research Day-2018 Proceedings. The key note speech was delivered by Senior Professor (Mrs.) Lalitha S. Fernando of the Department of Public Administration.
The Vice Chancellor of University of Sri Jayewardenepura Senior Professor Sampath Amaratunga, the Dean of the Faculty of Management Studies and Commerce Dr. U Anura Kumara, Head of the Department of Public Administration Dr. L A Pavithra Madhuwanthi, Heads and academic members of the other Departments, academic members and final year students of the Department of Public Administration have participated for the event. This event facilitated a platform for the undergraduates to obtain constructive suggestions for further refining their research papers and to build the confidence of undergraduates in doing research.
