Purpose and Scope of Qualification<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n

The purpose of the Bachelor of Science (BSc) Honours in Accounting Degree is to provide a comprehensive academic education and practical experience in the functional fields of accounting, finance, and management to produce academically and professionally competent graduates. The programme aims to prepare graduates to successfully pursue careers in accounting and related professions, while also enabling them to engage in postgraduate and research-based studies.<\/span><\/p>\n

The degree programme provides students with both generic and specialised knowledge, together with practical exposure in the above functional fields. In addition, it develops students\u2019 research capabilities, intellectual competencies, and essential life skills. The programme further seeks to nurture graduates with a strong sense of professionalism, a commitment to continuous learning and personal development, effective communication and teamwork abilities, and a deep sense of social responsibility and empathy towards the broader community.<\/span><\/p>\n

To achieve these objectives, students of the degree programme are required to undertake a broad spectrum of courses, complete a compulsory two-year internship programme, and conduct an independent research study.<\/span><\/p>\n

Graduate Profile (Graduate Attributes)<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n

On completion of the BSc Honours in Accounting Degree Programme, the students will possess the following graduate attributes (GA). <\/span><\/p>\n

On successful completion of the BSc Honours in Accounting Degree Programme, the accounting graduates will be able to:<\/span><\/p>\n

PLO 5:<\/span><\/b> Analyze and critically evaluate practices and issues pertaining to the said fields;<\/span><\/p>\n
