{"id":4907,"date":"2021-03-08T10:49:14","date_gmt":"2021-03-08T05:19:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/mgt.sjp.ac.lk\/acc\/?p=4907"},"modified":"2021-03-08T10:52:24","modified_gmt":"2021-03-08T05:22:24","slug":"sandun-priyankara-nominated-one-top-six-entrepreneurs-global-student-entrepreneur-award-gsea-sri-lanka-2021","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mgt.sjp.ac.lk\/acc\/sandun-priyankara-nominated-one-top-six-entrepreneurs-global-student-entrepreneur-award-gsea-sri-lanka-2021\/","title":{"rendered":"Sandun Priyankara, a Nominee for the GSEA Sri Lanka 2021"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Sandun Priyankara, a third-year undergraduate of the Department of Accounting, Faculty of Management Studies and Commerce, University of Sri Jayewardenepura was recognized as one of the top six entrepreneurs at the Global Student Entrepreneur Award (GSEA) 2021 Sri Lanka, organized by the Entrepreneurs\u2019 Organization (EO) Sri Lanka, in conjunction with the GSEA 2021 Australia.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Sandun was nominated for this award for his organic herbal products such as Herbal Powder and Tea named &#8216;You Choice Green Products&#8217;, which are produced from Curry Leaves, Thebu, Moringa, Neem and Cinnamon. Currently his company operates under the guidance of Prof. Piyal Marasinghe, a Botanist at the Diyatalawa Ayurvedic Hospital.\u00a0In addition, Sandun was able to launch a mobile business recently in order to sell vegetable seeds, vegetable plants, fruit plants and flower plants to alleviate food shortages during the Corona period and to encourage people to grow vegetables and fruits in their own backyard without using toxic chemical fertilizers. He has also partnered with Colombo Cargo Express Pvt Ltd and Trico Maritime Pvt Ltd to export Thebu and Pharmaceutical Triphala to the United States of America, where ground-level operations are already underway.\u00a0Sandun\u2019s expectation is to expand his company and introduce many more innovative products to the local and global market in the future.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Sandun was able to secure the 3<sup>rd<\/sup> place in the district of Badulla at the G. C. E. (Advanced Level) examination in 2017.\u00a0 He was involved in a number of extra-curricular activities at school and has captained the school Rugby team in 2016 and 2017.\u00a0In addition, he has represented the school Cricket team and has excelled in athletics. Currently he is the Entrepreneurship Director of the Vikings Social Entrepreneurship Club of the University of Sri Jayewardenepura.<\/p>\n\n\t\t<style type=\"text\/css\">\n\t\t\t#gallery-1
