The Department of Accounting, Faculty of Management Studies and Commerce (FMSC), University of Sri Jayewardenepura, conducted a guest lecture session on the 25th of September, 2024, as part of the Personal and Professional Development course for second-year undergraduates. The session, titled \u2018Becoming the Best Version of You,\u2019<\/em> was delivered by Ms. Dilmi Weerasinghe, Founder of Serenity Well-being, Mental Health Practitioner, and Certified Professional Transformational Coach. She is also a proud alumna of the Department of Accounting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The lecture emphasized the importance of maintaining a healthy balance during stressful times, highlighting practical strategies for managing mental well-being and personal growth. The session featured interactive activities aimed at promoting self-reflection and relaxation, empowering students to overcome challenges and become their best selves.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The students were actively engaged throughout the session, participating enthusiastically in the exercises and discussions. It provided them with an opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of mental resilience and practical approaches to maintaining balance, which is crucial as they navigate through their academic and professional journeys.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
