The session aimed to share their personal experiences and practical insights gained during their internships, providing undergraduates with valuable guidance on various aspects of their internship journeys, including the transition from university life to the professional working environment, balancing academic and professional commitments, and adapting to workplace expectations and challenges&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The resource persons were:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Mr. Chamika Sachith<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>ERP Consultant, Platned Syngco Lanka (Pvt) Ltd<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>BSc Honours in Accounting, IFS Cloud Certified Practitioner \u2013 Finance, IFS Cloud Certified Practitioner \u2013 Supply Chain Management, ACCA \u2013 Strategic Professional Level (Reading)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Ms. Yerani Gunawardana<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Independent Financial Analyst, Quiddity Research<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>BSc Honours in Accounting, Certified Tax Advisor (CTA), CA Sri Lanka \u2013 Strategic Level (Reading), ACCA \u2013 Strategic Professional Level (Reading)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Mr. Askar Aslam<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Audit Supervisor, KPMG Sri Lanka<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>BSc Honours in Accounting, CA Sri Lanka &#8211; Passed Finalist (Viva Pending), ACCA Finalist<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Mr. Gihan Siriwardhana<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Finance Executive, Michelin Business Services Lanka (Pvt) Ltd<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>BSc Honours in Accounting, CA Sri Lanka \u2013 Business Level (Reading)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The internship wrap-up session was conducted by Senior Professor Samanthi Senaratne of the Department of Accounting, marking the conclusion of the internship awareness programme 2026. This programme commenced with an induction session on 25 June 2026, followed by an internship mentoring session conducted by senior alumni of the department on 3 July 2026, and 24 internship sessions conducted by representatives of various organisations across different professional fields from 18 August to 15 September 2026.
