She was hosted by the Department of Language and Linguistics of the University of Essex.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>During her stay, she attended a workshop on \u201cForgetting your native language: consequences to career prospects\u201d at London, Birkbeck, University of London, gave a talk at the Department of Language and Linguistics Seminar Series on \u201cThe Impact of Individual Learner Motivation on Group Activities that use Google Docs for Simultaneous Collaborative Writing\u201d, and had several discussions with Professor Monika Schmidt and Dr. Christina Gkonou on ways in which the University of Essex could contribute to the sustainable and inclusive prosperity of Sri Lankans.
