As the Head of the Department of Business Economics at the University of Sri Jayewardenepura, it gives me great pleasure to welcome you to our department. Our department is committed to providing you with a high-quality education that will prepare you for a successful career in the world of business economics.<\/p>\n\n

Established in 2002, the Department of Business Economics is one of the most prestigious departments in the Faculty of Management Studies and Commerce. Over the past two decades, our department has been at the forefront of business and economic research and education in Sri Lanka. We are proud to have produced numerous graduates who have gone on to make significant contributions to the development of the country and the region.<\/p>\n\n

At the Department of Business Economics, we offer undergraduate and postgraduate programs that are designed to prepare students for a wide range of careers in management, economics, and related fields. Our undergraduate program provides students with a solid foundation in the principles of management and economics, while our postgraduate programs offer specialized training in areas such as banking, development studies, policy analysis, and women\u2019s studies. These programs at undergraduate and postgraduate levels are designed to equip students with the knowledge, skills, and practical experience necessary to excel in their chosen fields.<\/p>\n\n

We are proud to have a team of highly qualified and experienced faculty members who are dedicated to helping you achieve your academic and career goals. Our curriculum is designed to provide you with a solid foundation in the principles of business economics, as well as the analytical and critical thinking skills that are essential in today’s competitive job market. As the Head of the Department of Business Economics, I am committed to maintaining the high standards of academic excellence and research that are the hallmark of our department.<\/p>\n\n
