\n Business Economics Students\u2019 Association (BIZCON)\n<\/h3>\n\n

The Business Economics Students\u2019 Association, commonly known as BIZCON, was established in 2007 with the objective of promoting constructive engagement among undergraduates and academic staff of the Department of Business Economics. The Association supports the academic, professional, and personal development of undergraduates while contributing to the broader objectives of the Department.<\/p>\n\n

BIZCON serves as an important platform for strengthening interpersonal relationships among students and for facilitating collaboration with academic institutions, professional bodies, business organisations, and other external stakeholders. Through its activities, the Association provides opportunities for students to develop leadership, communication, teamwork, event management, coordination, and other soft skills required for their future professional careers.<\/p>\n\n

The Association actively contributes to student-led and outreach-oriented initiatives of the Department. Its activities include academic seminars, awareness programmes, competitions, exhibitions, professional development events, social responsibility initiatives, and student engagement programmes. Among its notable initiatives, EconInsight serves as an outreach seminar series in Economics, designed for G.C.E. Advanced Level Economics students. In addition, BIZCON organises and supports student-centred projects such as Ikonomica, the Welcome Programme for new entrants, and Avurudu celebrations, which contribute to student integration, cultural engagement, creativity, teamwork, and a strong sense of belonging within the Department.<\/p>\n\n

Through these initiatives, BIZCON continues to enrich the undergraduate experience of Business Economics students while supporting the Department\u2019s commitment to academic excellence, industry engagement, community outreach, and holistic student development.<\/p>\n\n<\/div>\n\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
