The Department of Business Economics, in collaboration with the Bank of Ceylon, successfully organized the workshop on \u201cFacilitating Foreign Transactions and Managing Exchange Risk \u2013 2025\u201d<\/strong> for final-year undergraduates following the subject BEC 4372: International Trade and Payments<\/strong>, on Wednesday, 07th May 2025<\/strong>. Initiated in 2019, this marked the seventh consecutive year<\/strong> of conducting the workshop.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This year\u2019s session featured two insightful components focusing on trade operations and payment methods<\/strong>, and instruments to hedge foreign exchange risk and emerging challenges in the forex market<\/strong>. It provided a dynamic platform for students to explore the practical aspects of international trade transactions and develop a deeper understanding of foreign exchange risk management strategies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Department of Business Economics extends its sincere appreciation to the Bank of Ceylon for its continued partnership in enriching the academic experience of students through meaningful industry engagement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
