The Business Economics Students\u2019 Association<\/strong> of the Department of Business Economics<\/strong> at the University of Sri Jayewardenepura<\/strong> successfully organized ECONWIZ\u2019 26<\/strong> on 11th February 2026<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n

This event was organized by the third-year undergraduates of the Department of Business Economics to warmly welcome the newly enrolled second-year students to the department. ECONWIZ\u2019 26<\/strong> served not only as a welcoming ceremony but also as a platform to strengthen unity, collaboration, and academic spirit within the department. The program was thoughtfully designed to create an engaging and interactive environment where students could build new friendships and develop a strong sense of belonging to the Business Economics community.<\/p>\n\n

The Head of the Department of Business Economics, Professor Ananda Ratnayake<\/strong>, graced the occasion. Through his inspiring address, he reaffirmed the department\u2019s unwavering support for the future initiatives of BIZCON<\/strong>. He also extended his best wishes to the new batch of second-year students. The presence of professors, senior lecturers, and lecturers further added prestige and elegance to the event.<\/p>\n\n

The event featured a series of interactive activities, team-building sessions, and creative segments that encouraged participation and collaboration among students. These activities helped bridge the gap between senior and junior batches while fostering leadership, teamwork, and communication skills. The organizing committee demonstrated exceptional coordination and dedication, ensuring the smooth execution of the program.<\/p>\n\n

ECONWIZ\u2019 26<\/strong> concluded successfully, fostering renewed enthusiasm, confidence, and motivation among the students, while marking the beginning of a promising academic journey for the new second-year cohort.<\/p>\n\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
