Department of Business Economics has scheduled various types of continuous assessments to evaluate the student performance for the course module BEC 2320 : Macroeconomics. Accordingly the first assignment was a debate on the \u2018Budget Proposals – 2016 of Sri Lanka\u2019.\u00a0 It is noted that the government\u00a0 has changed its policies and has adopted a policy to give cash transfers instead of the previous government\u2019s policy of giving material subsidies.<\/p>\n
Thereby, the students were required to carry out a debate on whether the current government should continue with cash transfers or material subsidies.<\/p>\n
