\u201cI believe that it is a great privilege for me to follow the degree programme offered by the Department of Business Economics of the Faculty of Management Studies and Commerce. It is a unique undergraduate programme among all degree programmes offered by the entire university system in Sri Lanka as it combines the discipline of Management and Economics both. Hence, it opens up a wide range of job opportunities for a graduate in many fields including the corporate sector, banking sector, policy analysis, research work, public sector etc. The students are guaranteed a vibrant and a stable future by the well qualified and experienced lecture panel and the well-organized curriculum. Moreover, students are provided an interesting and practical experience by organizing co-curricular activities such as workshops, seminars, guest lectures, industry visits, surveys and field visits. Also, this degree programme is arranged to buildup networks with the industrial resource persons.
