\u201cThe Department of Business Economics of the University of Sri Jayewardenepura proudly celebrates 20 years of excellence in 2022. Business Economics was initially introduced as a specialization area for the B.Sc. Business Administration Degree Programme which is offered by the Department of Business Administration in the year 1995. Later in 2002, it was developed into B.Sc. Business Administration (Business Economics) (Special) degree. Since 2002, the Department of Business Economics continues its legacy as one of the pioneering departments of the Faculty of Management Studies and Commerce by developing thousands of thriving graduates with solid theoretical knowledge and practical exposure. This greatly opens the way for graduates and undergraduates to shine as proud products of the department on many national and international platforms.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

As a swan separates milk from water, the department continually strives to provide the best for its students. This inspiration is symbolized in the logo of the 20<\/em>th<\/sup><\/em> Anniversary where there is a graceful swan raising his wings around the University logo.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Department of Business Economics glorifies the 20 years of excellence through many events such as Annual Conference on Business Economics (ACBE) 2022, Economic Forum, Special Journal Issue, Launching a book in commemoration of the 20<\/em>th<\/sup><\/em> Anniversary, and Econ  Insight seminar series. On this anniversary while reflecting the extreme dedication of many scholars and students, the Department especially commemorates its rigorous journey towards the vision of the University \u2013 \u201cProsper lives through education\u201d.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
