The Mini Welcome, organized annually by the Department of Commerce at the University of Sri Jayewardenepura, is a signature event that warmly welcomes newly enrolled Bachelor of Commerce undergraduates into the university community. This initiative provides an engaging platform for new students to immerse themselves in university life, fostering a sense of belonging and easing the transition into the academic environment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The 2025 Mini Welcome, officially named COMRADE 2025, took place on 17th October 2025 at the University Grounds under the captivating theme \u201cThe Holy Pearl.\u201d The event was organized by the second-year undergraduates of the Department, showcasing their creativity, teamwork, and leadership. The academic staff and students of the department actively participated, fostering a stronger sense of unity and collaboration. Throughout the day, students enthusiastically participated in a series of creative, team-oriented games, including Guess the Senior, Octopus Race, Water Circle, Caterpillar Train, Rolling Legends, and the energetic Powder Party. Alongside these performances, a friendly cricket match and social engagement created a vibrant, inclusive atmosphere that celebrated togetherness and student spirit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The program concluded with an energetic DJ session, marking the end of a memorable day filled with music, laughter, and shared experiences. More than just a welcome ceremony, \u201cCOMRADE 2025\u201d reflected the Department\u2019s ongoing commitment to fostering collaboration, personal growth, and community spirit among students. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
