The Department of Commerce successfully organized the Mock Interview Initiative, \u201cFuture Forward\u201d on 15th October 2025, to enhance the employability skills of third-year undergraduates. The program provided students with a realistic professional interview experience, helping them build confidence, strengthen communication skills, and better understand employer expectations in the modern job market. Through this initiative, students had the opportunity to engage directly with industry professionals and receive personalized feedback on their interview performance. Several participants made a strong impression on the panelists, leading to job placement offers and invitations for further discussions, reflecting the real-world value and impact of the program.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A distinguished panel of 27 industry experts representing diverse fields such as Accounting and Finance, Human Resources, Supply Chain and Operations, Marketing, Banking, and Insurance took part in the initiative. Students were allocated to 11 interview panels based on their preferred career paths, ensuring relevant and focused assessments. The panelists, who generously volunteered their time and expertise, evaluated students on professionalism, communication skills, and the relevance of their responses to job-specific scenarios, while also offering valuable career guidance and insights.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The event effectively bridged the gap between academic learning and industry readiness, reaffirming the Department\u2019s commitment to preparing career-ready graduates through experiential and industry-engaged learning opportunities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
