The purpose of establishing&nbsp; CRES is to participate and contribute to the growing local and global research agenda in real estate and to bridge the gap between academic theory and practice in the sector. CRES is a non\u2010profit making organization in which any surplus is used to support further research and education in the Centre and the Department.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading has-text-color\" style=\"color:#950404\"><strong>Goal of CRES<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>To encourage research and publications in the relevant fields, consultancy in real estate projects and enhance human capital through training and development in real estate management and valuation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading has-text-color\" style=\"color:#960101\"><strong>Key Services offered by CRES<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote\" style=\"font-style:normal;font-weight:500\">\n<p>Provide training upon requests from public\/private and professional institutes<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote\" style=\"font-style:normal;font-weight:500\">\n<p>Conduct surveys and research at the request of public\/private and professional institutes<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote\" style=\"font-style:normal;font-weight:500\">\n<p>&nbsp;Undertake consultancies for public\/private and professional institutes<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote\" style=\"font-style:normal;font-weight:500\">\n<p>&nbsp;Publish research papers, data profiles, textbooks and news bulletins<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote\" style=\"font-style:normal;font-weight:500\">\n<p>&nbsp;Collect and retrieve data bases in Real Estate.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading has-text-color\" style=\"color:#970202\"><strong>CRES Activities Over the Past Years&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:27px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading has-text-color\" style=\"color:#960303\"><strong>Peer Reviewed Indexed Journal:<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading has-text-color\" style=\"color:#960303\"><strong>Journal of Real Estate Studies (Formerly known as <\/strong><strong>Sri Lankan Journal of Real Estate)<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-size: revert;\">The Journal of Real Estate Studies (JRES) from July 2008 was formerly known as the <\/span><strong style=\"font-size: revert;\">Sri Lankan Journal of Real Estate (SLJRE)<\/strong><span style=\"font-size: revert;\"> and the new name came in to effect from the Volume 20 Issue 01 [2023 January] onwards.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>This is an indexed journal published biannually by the Centre for Real Estate Studies (CRES), Department of Estate Management and Valuation, University of Sri Jayewardenepura, Sri Lanka. The two issues are January and June. The research centre, department and the Editorial Board reserve the right to determine the format and the style of the journals.<\/p>\n<p>Each prospective article will be blind-reviewed. The views of the articles in the journal do not represent the views of the Centre for Real Estate Studies (CRES), Department of Estate Management and Valuation.
