The workshop on \u201cContemporary Issues in Entrepreneurship & SMEs<\/span>\u201d hosted by the students of Masters in Entrepreneurship Program 2017\/2019 batch of the Department of Entrepreneurship, Faculty of Management Studies & Commerce in Collaboration with Faculty of Graduate Studies, University of Sri Jayewardenepura <\/span>was delivered on 25th<\/sup> and 26th<\/sup> of August 2018 at Kamvelta Holiday Resort, Kindelpitiya, Bandaragama. <\/span><\/p>\n

The workshop focused on Contemporary Issues in Entrepreneurship & SMEs on its first day. Further, it consisted with four sessions, namely;<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00b7<\/span>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span>Session One: \u201cEntrepreneurship Education in Sri Lanka\u201d and \u201cNetworking & Clustering\u201d by Dr. Janak Kumarasinghe and Dr. Premasiri Gamage<\/p>\n

\u00b7<\/span>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span>Session Two: \u201cGender Issues in Entrepreneurship\u201d by Ms. Janaki Kathriarachchi and Ms. Dilupa Heenatigala<\/p>\n

\u00b7<\/span>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span>Session Three : \u201cSME Policies in Sri Lanka\u201d by Mr. Deepthi Mahawewa and Mr. Dhammika Dasanayake<\/p>\n

\u00b7<\/span>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span>Session Four : \u201cTechno-entrepreneurship\u201d by Mr. Harinda Danangalage and Mr. Supun Withanage<\/p>\n

The first day ending was marked by a colorful \u201cPaduru Party\u201d with the participation of invitees and the students.<\/p>\n

The second day of the workshop was organized to hold the sum up session for the course unit of Contemporary Issues in Entrepreneurship and SMEs which was conducted by the head of the department, Mr. Rukmal Weerasinghe. Initial discussions were done for the establishment of the Entrepreneurs\u2019 Club in the university with the main objective of networking and clustering the entrepreneurs from the internal and external students of the department. The evening session was for the entertainment and relaxation of the participants.<\/p>\n
