Master of Applied Finance<\/span><\/h1>\n

Master of Applied Finance is a new One-Year program introduced by the Applied Finance Program, Department of Finance through the Postgraduate Center for Business Studies (PCBS), FMSC. The main objective of this program is to provide graduates with a comprehensive theoretical grounding in the discipline of Finance along with its application in decision-making and formulation of financial policy. Applied Finance graduates will be knowledgeable in financial management principles and their applications to corporate financial policy. They will be capable of demonstrating a broad understanding of domestic and international financial markets. Additionally, they will have applied knowledge of different perspectives of the finance industry. This program is ideal for those pursuing careers or intending to pursue careers in Finance and related disciplines. At the same time, academics in Finance and related disciplines can enhance their knowledge in finance through this program. The program has the fallback\/exit option of Postgraduate Diploma of Applied Finance. After completing these programs, the students will be able to:<\/p>\n

  1. Identify, analyse, interpret, and critically assess financial problems and demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of the fundamental principles of finance<\/li>\n
  2. Analyse the global trends in finance, risks and challenges of financial management and markets and make optimum investment and finance decisions<\/li>\n
  3. Apply the techniques necessary to analyse and interpret data in financial practice and investments<\/li>\n
  4. Solve problems in corporate finance and financial markets, including those involving derivative assets and the operation of the markets<\/li>\n
  5. Make optimum corporate finance decisions and apply finance strategies in financial markets<\/li>\n
  6. Conduct research, generate new knowledge and contribute the society by dissemination of knowledge<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
