{"id":2096,"date":"2019-12-13T07:49:53","date_gmt":"2019-12-13T07:49:53","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mgt.sjp.ac.lk\/fin\/?p=2096"},"modified":"2019-12-17T11:19:34","modified_gmt":"2019-12-17T11:19:34","slug":"snehadara-2019","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mgt.sjp.ac.lk\/fin\/snehadara-2019\/","title":{"rendered":"Snehadara 2019"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>As the great\nintellect Albert Einstein once said, \u201conly a life lived for others is a life\nworthwhile\u201d which underpins how momentous to empower the community of a nation\nto equip themselves in a manner that they could prosper the future of the country.\nAmplifying its magnitude, undergraduates of the Department of Finance of\nUniversity of Sri Jayewardenepura&nbsp;\nextended their helping hand to rekindle the hopes of&nbsp; opulence.&nbsp;\nFor the sixth consecutive time,under the guidance of Head of the\ndepartment Dr.P.A.N.S.Anuradha and the other academic staff members, continuing\nthe impactful CSR initiative titled \u201cSNEHADHARA\u201d budding professionals who\nintend to drive the future of Sri Lanka, shared moments of goodness with the\nunderprivileged students of Ra\/Handagiriya Vidyalaya, Balangoda.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Accordingly the\nproject was commenced by making arrangements to install a new water line to\nensure the access to clean water which was successfully executed on 28<sup>th<\/sup>\nJuly 2019. Having completed the inaugural phase the final phase of the project\nwas conducted on 23<sup>rd<\/sup> &amp; 24<sup>th<\/sup>&nbsp; August 2019 at the Ra\/Handagiriya Vidyalaya\npremises that consisted of a series of donations addressing the varying needs\nof the students in different areas of learning. Among them the most\ndemonstrative part was the gift of a \u201cComputer Lab\u201d that consists of seven\ncomputers with the intention of sharpening the IT literacy of the students and\nwidening the access to the global flow of knowledge. It was a novel experience\nfor the students and also the academic staff who acknowledged the fresh\nplatform bearing a plenty of expectations in their&nbsp; minds. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The noble endeavour was further exercised as each student&nbsp; was received with a complete package of package of stationaries&nbsp; that comprised a school bag, water bottle, compass box\/geometry set and exercise books sufficient for a year. Panorama was further broadened as the school library was donated with books written on various subject areas along with past paper sets in order do fine tune the exam oriented preparations. Project was successfully carried out under the as everyone who gathered at the occasion expressed their sincere gratitude for the enrichment provided. We, the Department of Finance of University of Sri Jayewardenepura along with the Students\u2019 Association of Finance(SAF) are immensely thankful for everyone who contributed the 2019&nbsp; edition of \u201cSNEHADHARA\u201d in various aspects to make the project an absolute success. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-gallery columns-3 is-cropped wp-block-gallery-1 is-layout-flex
