Being the 4<sup>th<\/sup> largest electricity provider in\nSri Lanka, it is responsible for the generation of 120 megawatts of\nelectricity. The objective of this visit was to provide a practical\nunderstanding of operational and project management aspect of electricity\nsupply of Sri Lanka to the undergraduates.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><br> The chief operations engineer started by providing a general overlook regarding the technology by which the plant transports and stores water as well as the generation of electricity. This was followed by the visit around the plant where students were able to obtain a good understanding of the methodology used.
