{"id":216,"date":"2015-09-28T09:20:09","date_gmt":"2015-09-28T09:20:09","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/fin.mgt.sjp.ac.dev\/?p=216"},"modified":"2017-08-01T04:16:05","modified_gmt":"2017-08-01T04:16:05","slug":"snehadara-2015","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mgt.sjp.ac.lk\/fin\/snehadara-2015\/","title":{"rendered":"Snehadara 2015"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Department of Finance embarked on the annual field study tour to Ihalagalagama, Belihuloya, Balangoda on 24<sup>th<\/sup> and 25<sup>th<\/sup> September 2015.<\/p>\n<p>As a part of the field trip the annual CSR project \u201cSnehadara\u201d was launched at Ihalagalagama Vidyalaya, Ihalagalagama, Balangoda on 24<sup>th<\/sup> September 2015. The project was executed by the 2<sup>nd<\/sup> year students of the Department of Finance with the assistance of the 3<sup>rd<\/sup> and 4<sup>th<\/sup> year students of the Department. The Head of the Department of Finance, Professor. Hareendra Dissabandara, Professor. Y.K. Weerakoon, Mr. S.D.L. Kongahawatte, Ms. U.G. Kaushalya. Principal, members of the teaching staff, \u00a0parents of all the students of Ihalagalagama Vidyalaya and the Zonal Director of Education participated in the event.<\/p>\n<p>Prof. Hareendra Dissabandara and Prof. Y.K. Weerakoon addressed the gathering emphasizing on the importance of the events of that nature. A student from each batch of the Department of Finance also addressed the participants explaining their point of view regarding the CSR project.<\/p>\n<p>Then the organizers led by the Head of the Department of Finance distributed school equipment such as exercise books, school bags, and mathematical instrument boxes etc. among each student from Grade 1 to 11.<\/p>\n<p>Other than that the students of the Department of Finance contributed to the wellbeing of the students of the school by;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Renovating the main hall of the school including the roof and fixing a podium to be used in assemblies<\/li>\n<li>Formulating a specific area for the school library and furnishing it with, carpets and two cupboards<\/li>\n<li>Donating books and other stationeries for the school library as well as to all the classes for future use<\/li>\n<li>Providing a Buddha statue and an oil lamp for each classroom<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Vote of thanks by the Vice Principal of the school marked the conclusion of the event. \u00a0All the participants enjoyed being a part of this exemplary effort by the students of the Department of Finance.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<div id=\"kad-wp-gallery48\"
