Rooted in the mission of uplifting schools facing financial hardships, Snehadhara continues to serve as a transformative force in strengthening the nation\u2019s education system.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This year\u2019s initiative selected Karukkumaduwa Junior School in Puttalam as its beneficiary. Under the visionary leadership of Prof. Chandana Gunathilaka, Head of the Department of Finance, and with the steadfast support of dedicated lecturers, undergraduates, and alumni, the project introduced impactful improvements to the school\u2019s infrastructure and resources.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Key Contributions of Snehadhara \u201824 included:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Donation of a water filtration system<\/strong>, ensuring access to safe drinking water and addressing a critical challenge faced by schools in the dry zone.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Renovation of school buildings<\/strong>, creating an improved and more conducive environment for learning.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Distribution of essential stationery<\/strong> to students from Grades 1 to 11, supporting and empowering their academic aspirations.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The event was graced by the presence of distinguished faculty members, including Mrs. Miyuki Peiris, Mr. Ruwanga Wijesooriya, and Ms. Aruni Galappaththi, alongside enthusiastic participation from 2nd-year undergraduates and alumni. Their collective presence underscored the shared vision and collaborative spirit behind this remarkable initiative.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In addition to infrastructure enhancements, the day\u2019s proceedings featured interactive activities that fostered meaningful engagement between undergraduates and schoolchildren, leaving an enduring impact on all participants.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As Snehadhara marks its 10th year, the Department of Finance takes immense pride in the unwavering dedication and efforts of the <em>Students\u2019 Association of Finance<\/em>. Over the past decade, Snehadhara has become a symbol of hope, empowering young minds to dream beyond boundaries and pursue their fullest potential. The resounding success of <em>Snehadhara \u201824<\/em> reaffirms the department\u2019s enduring commitment to social responsibility, impactful change, and shaping a brighter future for the next
