The Department of Finance, University of Sri Jayewardenepura ceremonially launched the second edition of Value Masters 2026<\/strong>, Sri Lanka\u2019s Premier Inter-University Equity Valuation Competition, on 25th May 2026 at the Senate Boardroom of the university.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Organized by the Students\u2019 Association of Finance (SAF) of the Department of Finance, Faculty of Management Studies and Commerce, in collaboration with CFA Society Sri Lanka and Acuity Analytics, the competition aims to enhance analytical capabilities, valuation expertise, and industry exposure among undergraduates.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The event was attended by Dr. Neelangie Nanayakkara, Head of the Department of Finance, Prof. Dushan Jayawickrama, Dean of the Faculty of Management Studies and Commerce, Ms. Rashmi Peiris Paranavitane, President of CFA Society Sri Lanka, Mr. Nuwan Jayawardana, Director and Sri Lanka Head of Buy-Side Research at Acuity Analytics, Mr. Pranavan Premarajah, Associate Director of Acuity Analytics, representatives of the collaborating institutions and members of the academic staff.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The launch brought together participants representing 42 teams from 10 universities, comprising 38 teams from state universities and 4 teams from private universities across Sri Lanka and marked the official commencement of the competition through the unveiling of the Value Masters 2026 case study. The initiative continues to serve as a national platform dedicated to developing the next generation of finance professionals through practical learning, industry engagement, and real-world equity valuation experience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
