T<\/em>he HRM Family is the official name of the Association of HRM. The HRM Family is a strong students\u2019 association in the university milieu. Members of the HRM Family are competent to do multi tasks which are related to their managerial skills as well as personal characters. At present, there are more than 250 undergraduates with different talents.<\/p>\n

T<\/em>he talents of the HRM Association were manifested in various events organized by the association \u2013 the HRM Family within the last academic years and they are; exhibition for 50th<\/sup> Anniversary of the University, Talent Show \u2013 Sinesara Raga Soba<\/em>, HRM New Year Festival<\/em> \u2013 Ape HRM Aurudda, Vesak Dansala \u2013\u201cMaha Kos Dansala\u201d<\/em>, and HRM Scintilla Night<\/em>.<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/em>T<\/em>he exhibition of the 50th<\/sup> Anniversary of the University was a mass scale exhibition and the numbers of participants were more than one million. All departments and their students\u2019 associations presented their talents and specialties to the invitees and the visitors of the exhibition. The exhibition of the Faculty of Management Studies and Commerce consisted of eleven exhibition stalls from the twelve Departments of the Faculty. Among the twelve exhibition stalls of the faculty, the stalls of the HRM Family were the best stalls. The visitors appreciated the HRM stalls and its demonstrations (Drama presentation). It was designed and demonstrated on the core values of the Department such as innovation and creativity, multi competencies, stakeholders\u2019 revitalization and blending theories and practices of HRM.<\/p>\n

T<\/em>he evolution of the Sri Lankan HRM practices was the main them of the HRM exhibition and it had three separated, but continuous stalls named the king\u2019s era of HRM, the Colonial era of HRM and Modern day HRM. The evolution of HRM in Sri Lanka was initiated by the King\u2019s era of HRM.<\/p>\n

T<\/em>he talent show of the HRM undergraduates was named as \u201cSinesara Raga Soba\u201d, which was a continuous flow of dancing to the songs of Sinhala Films with a meaningful theme. This was the first innovative talent show in the university and the prominent Senior Professor Sunil Ariyarathne commented on it as \u2018an excellent work of art in the University\u2019.<\/p>\n

Through exciting games and activities, students developed leadership, communication, and teamwork skills, while showcasing their talents and bonding with peers.
