The Department of Human Resource Management of the University of Sri Jayewardenepura, together with HRM family (The students\u2019 association of the department) organized the second phase of \u201cHR Ape Iskole\u201d after four years, at the university premises for 775 school children who came to this program by representing 31 schools which belongs to Horana Education Zone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This program was aimed to enhance the leadership skills of the school children while motivating them to pursue their goals. The program was held as two sessions. The first session was a motivational program conducted by Prof. Aruna S. Gamage, a Senior lecturer of the Department of HRM of the university. In the second session, students actively participated in an outbound training program held at the university grounds which was aimed to enhance the leadership skills & and teamwork of the students.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mr. S. Sirilal, the commerce subject instructor of the Horana Educational Zone coordinated the schools with the HRM Family in organizing this event. The event was graced by the presence of Dr. Dushan Jayawickrama, Dean of the faculty of Management Studies & Commerce, Senior Prof. Hemantha Kottawatta, Head of the Department of HRM, as well as academic members and undergraduates of the department.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
