The Department of Information Technology successfully hosted a workshop on \u201cISC2 Certified in Cybersecurity\u201d on 9th September 2024. The session was aligned with the ITC 3382 – Information Systems Auditing and Control course, providing an invaluable opportunity for first, second, and third-year undergraduates to deepen their cybersecurity knowledge.The four-hour interactive session, held at ITRC Lab 03, covered essential cybersecurity fundamentals and was expertly conducted by Mr. Lasantha Priyankara, President of the ISC2 Colombo Chapter, Sri Lanka and Security Architect at Sysco LABS . His insights helped students prepare for the globally recognized \u201cCertified in Cybersecurity (CC\u00ae)\u201d credential offered by ISC2.A special thanks goes to Mr. Lakmal Embuldeniya, visiting lecturer for ITC 3382, who played a key role in making this valuable learning opportunity possible for our students.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
