The AI & Data Analytics Summit 2025, organized by the BCS, the Chartered Institute for IT Sri Lanka Section, was held at Taj Samudra Hotel on 6th June 2025 and stands out as a flagship event in Sri Lanka\u2019s annual IT industry calendar\u2014bringing together thought leaders, innovators, and professionals at the forefront of AI and data science.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Participation from the Department of IT included:Dr. Mahesh Fernando, Mr. Prabhasara Athurupane, Mr. Kavinga Ellamulla, Ms. Upesksha Samarasinghe, Ms. Dulari Perera, Ms. Ganguleli Gunasekera, Mr. Kumudu Fernando, Mr. Thanuja Wickramanayake.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Engagement in such industry events strengthens the bridge between academia and practice, while also informing curriculum development, research direction, and innovation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As part of the summit agenda, an AI & Data Analytics Quiz was conducted by Prof. Lasith Gunawardena, which captivated and actively engaged an audience of over 300 participants.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
