The 7th Episode of the DIT Tea Time Research Talks Series organized by the Department of Information Technology, Faculty of Management Studies and Commerce, University of Sri Jayewardenepura, was held on Friday, 3rd October 2025, from 8.30 a.m. onwards at the New Faculty Boardroom, FMSC.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The session was conducted by Mr. Prabhasara Athurupane, Lecturer, Department of Information Technology, Faculty of Management Studies and Commerce, University of Sri Jayewardenepura. He shared his insights on the topic “Leveraging Text Analytics for Educational Insights: An Experience Sharing Session on Sentiment Analysis and Association Mining of Student Opinions.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The talk provided an engaging discussion on how text analytics techniques can be effectively applied in educational contexts to understand student perceptions, uncover meaningful patterns, and support data-driven academic decision-making.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
