Marketing Management (Special) Degree, University of Sri Jayewardenepura"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Department of Marketing Management was able to win a competitive World Bank Grant<br \/>\ncalled AHEAD ELTA\/ELSE which worth of Rs.15 million. The agreement of the same was<br \/>\nsigned on 18 th Nov 2019 at the University, with the participation of the Vice Chancellor of the<br \/>\nUniversity &#8211; Senior Prof. Sampath Amarathunga, Director of the World Bank Project of the<br \/>\nUniversity \u2013 Dr. Kalum Gamage, Head of the Department \u2013 Prof. (Mrs) Amila Jayarathne,<br \/>\nCoordinator of the Project \u2013 Dr. (Mrs) Asoka Malkanthie and the lecturers of the Department.<br \/>\nThe World Bank in collaboration with the Government of Sri Lanka support the higher education<br \/>\nsector through a bank funded Accelerating Higher Education Expansion and Development<br \/>\n(AHEAD) operation in Sri Lanka for the development of the higher education sector which is of<br \/>\ncentral importance to enable Sri Lanka to make the transition from a Lower-Middle Income<br \/>\nCountry (LMIC) to an Upper Middle-Income Country (UMIC).<br \/>\nThe AHEAD operates under three results areas (1).
